After reports came out claiming that she was back in rehab, Nicole Richie has moved swiftly to help clear the air. During an on-air discussion with Ryan Seacrest, Nicole talked about her upcoming DUI sentencing and what’s been keeping her busy the past few weeks.

To start off, Nicole admitted that she is indeed “nervous” about the possibility that she may follow friend and Simple Life co-star Paris Hilton to jail.

Nicole, daughter of musician Lionel Richie, is busy battling a DUI charge that she racked up this past February. Police say that she was under the influence of alcohol and an unspecified drug when they stopped her last year (Nicole reportedly admitted to taking Vicodins and smoking marijuana).

During her talk with Seacrest, Richie said that she understands she has to “take responsibility” and “deal with whatever consequences” come her way.

Moving away from the legal matters to rumors surrounding her medical well-being, Richie denied the numerous reports claiming that she’d been in rehab recently.

She believes the rumor started because she hadn’t been seen in a few weeks, but says she was touring with boyfriend Joel Madden of Good Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Paris has been keeping herself busy - trying to suppress the thoughts of her impending 23-day jail sentence. Spotted out in Hollywood, Paris carried a new script in her arms and treated herself to some ice cream at Cantaloop.

Jessica Biel just finished launching a movie, has another being released in July and two more in the pipelines. With such a hefty schedule, the fitness-addicted Hollywood starlet keeps loading up her plate as her star power continues to rise. Recently spotted in Brentwood jogging with her dogs before heading to a Hollywood movie set to film a few scenes, Jessica spoke with AskMen about her latest release, Next, which co-stars Nicholas Cage and Julian Moore. When asked what attracted her to the role, Jessica responded: “Well, I think number one was to work with Nic and Julianne, and with Lee (Tamahori). That was like the number one thing. Anything that this group of people are doing, you want to be involved in.” Getting into movies with big-name actors is now coming more easily for Biel, whose previous films tended to be action flicks with less substance. In theaters July 20, 2007, Jess stars alongside box-office giant Adam Sandler in the comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. And while Chuck and Larry should pack numbers in the theaters, Biel is most excited to film Powder Blue (co-starring Oscar winner Forest Whitaker) followed immediately by A Woman Of No Importance (co-starring Annette Bening and Sienna Miller). Things are not looking good for Alex Rodriguez.

Amidst serious allegations that he's been having an affair with a whorish blonde from Canada and lavishing extravagant gifts on strippers across the U.S., the New York Yankee's wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, has left their home.

The obviously upset Cynthia  brusquely left the NYC apartment she shared with A-Rod on Tuesday night carrying two suitcases and refusing to speak with reporters that were camped outside.

Alex vows not to let this affect his game.

But it's his other game that got him in trouble.

R&B beauty Rihanna is cutting herself a new image. "I wanted to get out of my innocent, generic shell that everyone is used to molding me into," she says in the new picture-packed Giant magazine. "I was like, 'To hell with that!' "

The difference shows in the title of her new CD, "Good Girl Gone Bad," out next week. But the 19-year-old Barbados-born siren won't be following in the footsteps of other bad girl starlets. Her childhood was spent watching her father battle a crack addiction to keep her on the straight and narrow.

"I just knew that my mom and dad would always argue when there was a foil paper with an ashtray," she says. "He would just go into the bathroom all the time. I didn't know what it was. ... [But] he knew that to get closer to [his kids], he had to cut that out. And he did."

While Paris & Nicole are currently "preoccupied" with other things, Kelly Osbourne and Kimberly Stewart are ready to pick up where their pals left of.

P-Nasty paid a visit to the girls in Venice Beach on Wednesday, where they were shooting a reality TV show for Bunim/Murray Productions, who also produce The Simple Life.

All did not go as planned during the shoot and the rock 'n' roll daughters called the Gossip Gangstar for some help.

The Umbrella songstress sounded quite excited, as she has long-waited for the chance to be the face of the company’s new ad campaign - set to launch next month. The Barbados native said, “I always wanted to be a CoverGirl. Every little girl wants to become one. CoverGirl has worked with other music artists and the brand itself is about make-up. It’s been a busy couple of months for Brad Pitt.  He’s been taking complimentary helicopter lessons in Prague.  He’s been hamming it up with George Clooney and Matt Damon at the Cannes premier of Oceans Thirteen.  And now he’s filming in Canada.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is the new film project for Mr. Pitt.  They have been filming in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and now they are finishing up with some scenes in Old Montreal.  A few blocks of the historical city have been transformed into a wintry 1940s Paris and Moscow for the movie.

Pitt is traveling sans Angelina & kids for the moment.  They’re still in Prague while Ang finishes up Wanted.  This past Sunday marked the one year birthday of Shiloh, and the family celebrated together just before Brad’s departure.

Upon completion of his shooting schedule, Brad is set to return to the Czech Republic to rejoin Angelina and their kids.  And Angelina can’t wait to see him.  It seems that the happy couple are looking to spend more family time in the future.  “I’m working this summer,” Angelina said in a recent interview. “I’m in Prague for a few months, then I take two months off, then I work for two months… then I take a year off.”

With Brad and Angelina’s careers so successful, it’s good to see that they haven’t lost their perspective that family comes first.

Providing updates on his daughter’s condition, Michael Lohan recently stated that Lindsay is involved in a detoxification program to rid her of her addiction to alcohol and OxyContin. “I spoke to the people treating Lindsay because I want to make sure she is getting the right care,” he told press. “And I’m satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from painkillers and things. That’s a very important step.” Daddy Lohan was recently released from prison himself, so he knows the feeling of being in serious trouble. Still, Lindsay has continued to make it apparent that she wants no part of his preaching ways. During his stay in the big house, Mr. Lohan completed Bible College and became a minister with the Assemblies of God denomination. He mentioned that he is pleased that LiLo will be undergoing a God-based recovery. “I learned they use the 12-step program, which includes a lot of lessons bases on God’s teachings, so I was satisfied with that,” he said. “First she needs to get clean, then she needs to let God in her life.” Check out the pictures of Lindsay passed out on May 27 and some shots from the crash scene.

Sometimes the mistakes we make can have far-reaching effects.  For Paris Hilton, her years of indiscretions have made one photographer so nervous, he has dropped her from his new book. 

Photographer Roger Moenks is compiling a new book called “Inheriting Beauty” about famous heiresses such as Roberta Armani, Dylan Lauren, Allegra Hicks, Nadja Swarovski, Casey Johnson.  But Paris’ name won’t be among those included.

The reason?  Moenks says that her controversial behavior such as the sex tape incident(s) and her 2006 arrest for drunk driving were contributing factors.  And now, she has her jail sentence working against her as well.

Moenks’ agent Marianne Strong tells the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column, “(Moenks and his editors) bounced Paris by unanimous vote. She’s tried to play society like a game of Three-card Monte. Let’s hear it for high standards.”

Everyone loves reunions.  Whether it’s a family reunion or high school reunion, there are always good times to be had.  In Hollywood, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have finally found their way back to one another… on the set of a new film destined for greatness.

The Titanic couple is joining forces for a new project, called Revolutionary Road.  The movie is currently filming in New York.  Leo and Kate play a young married Connecticut couple whose apparently golden marriage starts to crumble.

For Kate, the movie is doubly sweet.  Not only does she get to pal around with Leo, but her husband, Sam Mendes is directing the project.  And by the smiles on their faces on set, it looks like they’re all enjoying the working relationship.

The film also stars Kathy Bates, Michael Shannon, and Ryan Simpkins.  It is based on a book written by Richard Yates, and has a release date sometime in 2008.

With her departure from The View coming three weeks early, Rosie O’Donnell has left a Rosie-shaped-hole in the cast roster at the hugely popular talk show. As producers scramble to find temporary replacements for the outspoken co-host, the permanent replacement question has come up. Who will replace Rosie? There are several options. There’s no denying that Rosie was the type of personality that had enough edge to bring in ratings. Her water-cooler appeal will be tough to recreate. But it’s possible, according to The View’s producers. There are a few obvious choices right off the bat: Roseanne Barr, Whoopi Goldberg and Bette Midler. Other names on the shortlist include former talk show host Ricki Lake, comedians Kathy Griffin and Wanda Sykes, Oprah Winfrey’s best friend Gayle King and genial actress Sherri Shepherd. “After dealing with Rosie for a year, Barbara and the producers may prefer someone who’s easier to manage and less dramatic,” noted In Touch magazine’s Dan Wakefield, who said the even tempered Shepherd is popular with the show’s producers. Above all, he said, “the most important thing is ratings.” I’d love to see Sharon Osbourne fill the spot. She’s witty and has a wealth of real-life experience that you can’t fake. Or perhaps Marie Osmond. She’s a firecracker who’s not afraid of any topic. Nevertheless, the producers at The View have their work cut out for them.

According to police reports, rapper Fat Joe may have witnessed a shooting murder that took place over Memorial Day weekend in South Beach Miami. 

Witnesses to the crime told investigators that Joe was riding in the same Cadillac Escalade as the two shooting victims.  The incident took place outside of David’s Café II, a popular South Beach spot.

Police spokesman, Sergeant Bobby Hernandez, believes that Fat Joe (a.k.a Joe Cartagena) was an acquaintance of the two victims.  “If he’s a witness, we’d love to speak with him,” Hernandez said.

The victims were Lessli Paz, 25, of New York City, and Joey Navarro, 26, of Homestead, Florida.  Paz died at the scene, and Navarro died shortly after being taken to a local hospital.

Police have arrested Jermaine Chamberline, 24, of Miami.  He is being held on charges of 2nd degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Police say he shot the two victims following a verbal altercation. “They were walking through the parking lot, and we don’t know exactly what was said, but it wasn’t interpreted right by either of the parties,” Hernandez said. 

There’s just something about your first house; the place in which you grew up, played Legos, watched your famous parents party with celebs…?  Yeah, for Gwyneth Paltrow, her childhood home is so appealing, she’s renting it while she films her new movie.

The Oscar-winning actress almost completely lost it when her mom sold the house, located in Santa Monica, for almost $9 million. According to US Weekly, “Gwyneth couldn’t talk about it. She was very upset.” She lived there until she was 11 years old, and it evidently held some important memories.

Fast-forward a decade or two, and now she’s renting the childhood pad while she films Iron Man, a new project.  The movie also stars Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, and Terrance Howard.  Jon Favreau will be assuming the Director’s Chair.

According to a source, “They just had her daughter Apple’s third birthday party there.”

Gwyneth spends most of her time in the UK with her Coldplay star husband Chris Martin and their two children, daughter Apple and 13-month-old son Moses.

With the onslaught of self-conscious women these days, it’s refreshing to hear one woman who’s not afraid of her big butt.  Kylie Minogue has declared her love for her big booty, and she doesn’t care who hears it.

At the Cannes Film Festival last week, Miss Minogue caught her peers off guard when she publicly announced that she loves her “black girl’s butt”.  She laughed and cavorted around, shaking her rear end in delight.

She compared her derriere to that of Beyonce Knowles and Latina singer/actress Jennifer Lopez at the Dolce & Gabbana party, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.  The Aussie singer said, “Look at my butt. I’ve got a great black girl’s butt, kinda like Beyonce and J.Lo. I may be from Australia but I think I must have some blackness in me.”

“You’ll never hear me wishing I had a smaller butt. The bigger the better,” said the cancer-surviving singer.  She loves her body, and is thrilled to have curves in all the right places. “I love having curves - forget these skinny girls. I love feeling feminine and womanly - being curvy in all the right places is part of that.”

If you’re in love with Harry Potter like everyone else in this country, start making your summer 2009 vacation plans early.  There’s a new attraction coming to Orlando, Florida and you won’t want to miss it.

Universal Studios Orlando Theme Park plays host to “The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter.” The exhibit will feature famous locations from the best-selling novels such as the snow-covered village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Castle, and shops selling cauldrons, brooms and wands. 

JK Rowling is psyched about the project.  She has seen the plans for the park, and can’t wait to see them come to life.  And come to life they will.  Universal is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable experience for visitors. 

For instance, Oscar-nominated production designer Stuart Craig who has worked on the Harry Potter movies heads the billion-dollar project, which starts construction within weeks. “Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter’s world as it is portrayed in the books and films.”

With only 2 years to wait, Harry Potter fans will be delighted to experience first-hand the magic of their favorite books.
