Just when everything looked to be getting back to normal between Britney Spears and her mom, the “Do Something” singer is taking legal action.

While there are rumors that Brit served her mother with a restraining order, TMZ is reporting that it’s not the case. It would be odd for the Toxic singer to personally deliver a restraining order to someone that she is trying to stay away from, anyway.
Rather, Lynne Spears has been issued a letter from Britney’s lawyer that “bluntly asks Lynne to stay away from the children if she is taking any medications that would impair her ability to be around them.”

Brit is also claiming that her mother is “not stable enough to be around the kids.” This is all part of the pop singer’s attempt to remove the unhealthy relationships in her life. But this is all a shocker in light of the recent supposed reconciliation.

This recent behavior appears to be Britney trying to reverse the mistakes and loose living of her pre-rehab days by getting overprotective and closing off the world around her.

If he wasn’t known for his role on Grey’s Anatomy, he was definitely known for the gay bashing.  And now Isaiah Washington is complaining that Grey’s fired him over racism, rather than for the hate speech he committed.

Washington told press, “I had a person in human resources tell me after this thing played out that ‘some people’ were afraid of me around the studio.  I asked her why, because I’m a 6-foot-1, black man with dark skin and who doesn’t go around saying ‘Yessah, massa sir’ and ‘No sir, massa’ to everyone? It’s nuts when your presence alone can just scare people, and that made me a prime candidate to take the heat in a dysfunctional family.”

Washington is also asserting that the “faggot” slur wouldn’t have been such a big deal had it not come from a black man. “Someone heard the booming voice of a black man and got really scared and that was the beginning of the end for me,” he said. “I see that now, but I didn’t then.” If you’re scratching your head, you’re in good company!

And rather than understanding the damage he did to his career and character, he’s saying that it’s all about racism.  “I apologized and showed my remorse for what I said and for the pain I caused anyone,” he said. “If a black man can’t get forgiveness in this country, when so many other people like Robert Downey Jr. and the governor of California get second and third chances … I think that says a lot about race and this country where we stand.”

It’s interesting that Isaiah refuses to accept that he alienated a potentially large viewing audience when he let slip that he was homophobic.  Maybe he’ll come to terms with that fact as some time passes.

Life is good when you’re the top couple in Hollywood.  Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been enjoying this past year of parenthood, marriage, and keeping first things first… their family.

According to a new report in Star magazine, Tom and Katie are living a life full of family and marital bliss.  One source reports, “Katie was off having lunch with a few girlfriends, and when she came home, Tom was in the playroom assembling an enormous castle amid a cluster of collectible Shrek figures!  Tom had taken Suri on a little shopping spree, and Tom kept giving in!  He can’t say not to Suri.”

Sounds like someone is going to grow up spoiled!  And it’s’ not just Tom who caters to the beautiful baby.  Apparently Katie was going through a toy catalog with Suri, and everything she pointed to Katie ordered for her.  Even more, when the shipment arrived, there was two of everything, due to Tom’s mom’s page flipping with the baby.

And the TomKat preferred babysitter of their little one?  Tom’s daughter Isabella, who rakes in $15 an hour to give the happy couple some time alone.  It’s no wonder the Cruises look so happy all the time.

If you’re obscenely rich and you just got out of the slammer, where do you go?  Hawaii of course!

And Paris Hilton is getting back to the beach with a post-jail holiday in Maui.  Looks like all the paparazzi that have been missing the heiress these past weeks get to vacation island-style as well!

The island getaway is designed to get Paris back into enjoying life, leaving behind the drab, dank demeanor she picked up as an inmate.  Plus, she’s gotta work on that tan.

If you were watching Larry King Live the other night, you know what I mean.  She was very stoic and lacked the usual flair and zeal for life that the Simple Life star is known for.  Solution? Luaus and leis!

With the whole Jennifer Aniston/Jane Pitt fiasco still reverberating in gossip land, another former relationship is being revisited.  This time it’s by Angelina Jolie, much to Brad Pitt’s dismay.

Apparently Angelina is still in regular contact with her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton.  The former couple, who made headlines by wearing vials of each other’s blood, and getting freaky on the way to award shows, are said to be great support systems for each other.

According to a recent interview by Billy Bob, “Angie and I talk all the time.  We try to keep in touch every day. We’ve always been friends and there will always be a spot in my heart for her.”

And Billy Bob still feels for Ang when her name is slandered in the tabloids.  It seems he still thinks the world of Jolie.  Billy Bob told press, “It always ticks me off when people talk bad about Angie.”

Due to the level of closeness maintained between the two actors, Thornton came to Angelina’s aid when she lost her mother earlier this year.  Jolie said of their conversation, “He said, ‘You’ll never get over it. It’s never going to be OK, and once you accept that, you realize you never want to get over it.’ He said, ‘Just kind of let it sit with you, and let it be a part of who you now are.’”

In light of this revelation, maybe it’s time for Angelina to accept the Pitt family’s relationship with Aniston.  After all, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Superstar singer Prince’s concerts are always sold out, and filled with adoring fans.  One fan got a special treat from the reclusive performer at a recent show, and her name is Penelope Cruz.

Cruz attended last Saturday’s Prince Concert at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.  And the pop star got up close and personal with the actress… to the point that he performed a song just for her.

Prince sat next to Penelope and her friends as he played a brand spanking new hit to her delight.  Then he did something that he never does- he took a request.

Penelope asked Prince to sing “Nothing Compares 2 U” and he happily complied.  And Penelope loved it.  One witness said, “Penelope was in heaven. She sang along, eyes closed.”

And Penelope wasn’t the only celeb attending the show that night.  P. Diddy, Nas, Kelis, Topher Grace, and Hilary Swank were also in the audience for the low-key intimate affair.

When you think of Hollywood’s most gorgeous babes, one name we always find at the top of the list is Elisha Cuthbert.  And now Tim Allen has hit the jackpot, having Cuthbert as one of his six wives in an upcoming flick.

“The Six Wives of Henry Le Fay” will reportedly begin filming late this summer at a location in Connecticut.  And Cuthbert sounds excited about the new project.

“It’s this quirky comedy about this girl, my character, whose father dies and she has to wrangle the six wives, they all want him buried a certain way and she just goes through the ringer. It starts this August in Connecticut. That’s going to be really cool to be off doing the comedy thing, especially with Tim Allen,” Elisha told press.

Meanwhile, the 24 hottie has another project on the way.  Her new film “Captivity” releases later this summer, and looks like it will be another success for the actress.  And you thought she was just the pink-underwear-wearing, boss’ underage daughter, one night stand for Luke Wilson in “Old School.”

As far as breakdowns go, Lindsay Lohan sure had a humdinger! It’s looking like the Mean Girls star may have been doing cocaine the night she crashed her Mercedes.

The final toxicology results were done earlier this week, and TMZ got their hands on them. The report confirmed that Lohan had levels of cocaine in her bloodstream the night she wrecked her car. Plus, of course, she was drunk, reportedly having twice the legal limit of alcohol running through her veins.
The Herbie Fully Loaded star was indeed fully loaded Memorial Day weekend when she crashed her Mercedes SL-65. And the very next day she was photographed passed out in a friend’s car. After all of that, LiLo decided it was time for rehab.

And she’s been doing great, according to mother Dina Lohan. She’s even committed to Promises’ extended care program, which aids the recovery and assimilation of patients back into society after sobering up.

After all of this, Lindsay will have to face a Beverly Hills judge on August 24th to see what happens next. Whatever it is, you can be sure Lindsay will be regretting her behavior for a long time.

Divorces are messy. There’s a reason that people pay big bucks to lawyers who help navigate the process. And Britney Spears’ divorce just got more complicated. Kevin Federline won’t sign the papers.

The reason? K-Fed doesn’t want Britney to have joint physical and legal custody of their two sons. She’s been partying a bit too much for someone who admittedly had a problem so bad she went to rehab.
A source close to Federline told press, “Britney’s attorneys are anxious to see Kevin sign off on a divorce. But Kevin and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan are dragging their heels out of concern over reports of Britney’s post-rehab partying.”

In the interest of their two sons, Kevin “wants to make sure that the divorce document makes it simple enough for Kevin to downsize Britney’s access to her kids the next time her behavior troubles him.”

And Spears’ lawyer isn’t talking. “I do not feel it’s appropriate to comment the personal life or legal positions of my client.”

In a little over a week Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker will be united as husband and wife.  And Parker isn’t divulging too many details.

Recently, Tony has been avoiding questions about the specifics of the big day, claiming that his wife is the one who knows all the details.  “I don’t care where I’m going to get married – it’s a girl’s thing,” he told press last week.

For a guy getting married next weekend, responses like that can only mean that he’s tired of telling everyone everything about his nuptials.  “That’s a question for Eva,” is another favorite vague response used by Parker.

But one thing’s for sure.  The couple will be employing French cake makers to do the honors for their reception.  Despite rumors that they were going to have a cake flown in from Los Angeles, Tony emphatically stated that the cooking reputation of his home country made him want a French cake. 

“Why take a cake from the United States … if it is France that makes the best cakes?”

When you’re famous and constantly in the public eye, it gives potential stalkers all the fodder they need to make your life miserable. And according to Brittany Murphy, someone is doing just that to her.

A former Murphy employee is coming out about her tendency to be hyper-sensitive about privacy. He reports that the “Just Married” starlet constantly talks of a “high-powered Hollywood player” who is supposedly stalking her.
Murphy has also revealed that former boyfriend Simon Monjack was allegedly kidnapped by cronies of said stalker. “When he came back, he had head injuries,” says the former insider. “He was pale and sometimes had trouble standing.”

Oddly enough, there are media reports that link Monjack’s disappearance with his jailing for overstaying his visa. After all, he is a British Citizen, and US Immigration had to keep him in custody to figure out where he belonged.

Whether all of these claims are actually true or merely the imaginings of a sensational mind is yet to be seen.

All five of the Spice Girls came together on Thursday (June 28) to announce their long-awaited reunion as a “thank you” to their fans. The day marked the first time that all five have appeared in public together since Ginger Spice walked out nine years ago.

“Imagine you got divorced and you’ve got back together with your ex-husband,” Geri said of being reunited with her band mates. Meanwhile, Victoria quipped: “She just appreciates the fact we’ve let her back in.”

Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell all seemed extremely excited to be back in the Spice roles.

But before hitting the road, the group had to plan with their seven Baby Spices in mind… feeling that the experience would be beneficial for their young ones. 

Posh said: “We’re definitely going to have a huge creche (infant bed). Our priority is going to be our families. We want to have fun. That’s one of the many reasons for this, for our children to see what we used to do.”

And there isn’t much doubt amongst the Spice Girls over whether or not the tour will be a success.

Halliwell told press of the reunion: “I like to think our songs are universal and they are timeless.”

And when Mel B was asked whether it was a comeback, she said: “Where did we go?”

The highly anticipated reunion tour includes 11 dates on six continents, beginning in Los Angeles on December 7. Along with the tour, a greatest hits album will be released in time for Christmas.

Victoria’s Secret tested out a new marketing ploy on Tuesday (June 26), drawing the attendance of some of their top models. The world-renowned intimates brand did so by opening a “pop up” store in NYC.

Open for one day only (hence the term “pop up”), the Victoria’s Secret Sexy Beauty Candy Store at 1657 Broadway and 52nd Street became the temporary home of the brand’s “unique vision of sweets.”

And despite naming it a Candy Store, nothing edible was available for purchase. Instead “makeup and beauty products as candy for women” were offered to the by-invite-only attendees, including Allessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Maria Menounos.

Throughout the course of the event, “the company debuted a new fragrance, called Supermodel, as well as other body products and three new perfumes for their Pink line,” reports Racked New York.

While we’re not certain how much success this recent advertising test will end up having, whoever makes their TV commercials gets our stamp of approval.

Guess it’s kind of hard to mess up when the hottest models in the world are at your beck and call in the droves.

We’ve all seen sibling rivalry.  And it must be ten times worse when you’re part of a rich and famous family.  But Nicky Hilton has taken it to a new level, given her reaction to sister Paris’ early release.

Apparently fashion designer Nicky had to end her trip to Greece early in order to fly back to the States for Paris’ Welcome Home party.  And she wasn’t too happy about it.

Hilton’s parents insisted that Nicky prematurely return home to present a “united front” for her sister’s release.  Nicky was in the Mediterranean for a fashion show with her boyfriend David Katzenberg. 

According to a source, “Her parents dragged her back because they didn’t think it would be good for the family’s image if they didn’t show a united front. She loves her sister, but she thinks the whole media circus is ridiculous.”

Ahh, there’s nothing like rich sisters griping about each other!

You’re always hearing about how guys are afraid of commitment. But Cameron Diaz insists that she’s just as fearful when it comes to filming movies.

Apparently the ‘Shrek The Third’ actress is unreliable and her reputation for being so has cost her some great acting jobs. And she’s blaming it all on being spoiled.

“There are a lot of great roles out there but you know my problem? I’m really bad at commitment. I just hate committing myself to anything. I’m terrible at making plans. I have no idea where I want to be. It probably comes from me being a total spoiled brat and always getting my own way.”

Or maybe it’s a collective fear of her karate skills. According to Shrek 3 co-star Mike Myers, “She’s a karate expert. I have cuts to prove it.”

“The first time we were doing it, we were messing about and she knocked me to the ground. I went back and did a little cuff on the back of the head. She was so incensed that she punched me in the stomach and I went down again. She was standing over me yelling, ‘Stay down b****!’ She beat the crap out of me … big burly men had to pull her off me.”

You can make of that what you will, given Myers’ tendency toward the comedic. But keep in mind… she was one of Charlie’s Angels!
