Free from ex Kevin Federline after yesterday’s divorce finalization, the trainwreck that’s Britney Spears is said to be focusing her attention solely on career related matters. Not only does she plan on getting back to the top of the charts, Ms Spears is also rumored to be in talks to host Saturday Night Live in the months to come.

This news comes despite the fact that other troubled stars have seen fallout due to their scandalous actions. Recent examples include Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s tv show, “The Simple Life,” getting canceled, along with Mike Vick’s endorsement fallout over his dog fighting charges. And while Britney may not be on that level, most would be uninterested in having their name tied to a lose cannon.

At 41 years of age, Cindy Crawford still has a figure that makes heads turn. This is especially true when the supermodel turned mother/producer hits the beaches of St Tropez for her annual getaway with husband Rande Gerber.

Crawford, who owns the production company Crawdaddy Inc, was spotted enjoying a day of yachting near the popular Riviera destination. While out in the open sea, the mother-of-two went on a wave-running adventure, sipped on drinks and sunned her body while lounging back on a beach recliner.

Speaking of bodies, the former face of Pepsi has spoken of how blessed she has been in the looks department, but also points out that appearance is only a small part of the equation - “the envelope”.

Crawford wrote on her Website, “Appearance isn’t the summation of who I am, or who anyone is. I’ve been very lucky. I’ve got a good envelope. You know? An envelope - the packaging is good. I wouldn’t have been able to do what I’ve done without it.”

We concur - the envelope is definitely “good”!

Supermodel tsunami survivor Petra Nemcova has spent each day since the December 2004 tragedy trying to make the world a better place. She even launched the Happy Hearts Fund, which aims at “helping children who’ve suffered loss or hardship as a result of natural, economic or health-related disasters.”

With her charitable efforts not being enough, Nemcova has now become a vegan after learning about the planet’s rapidly depleting fish stocks. The Czech Republic born model gave up meat and dairy in February because “she wants to set an example and help save ocean life.”

Recently spotted helping out at an OCRF Benefit, Petra said: “I became quite green - I have a very strong connection to nature. I read that if we fish the way we fish, in 2048 there will be no more fish left, which is pretty soon. So it’s a statement.”

While we aren’t sure where Petra’s facts are coming from, we do applaud her efforts.

Usually a divorce means an end between two formerly married people.  But the end doesn’t seem to be in sight for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.  Sure, their divorce was finalized yesterday.  But it’s not over yet.

With all the unpredictable behavior coming from Britney as of late, Kevin is hitting her hard for full custody of their two sons, Jayden James 1, and Sean Preston, 2.  And believe it or not, K-Fed’s got a pretty good case.

A source told press, “The lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan is going to claim that Britney failed to meet any of the benchmarks, including attending Alcoholics Anonymous, after finishing her 28-day stint in rehab earlier this year.”

But if Britney’s sweating this, she’s not showing it.  Her pitbull-in-disguise-lawyer Laura Wasser says that it’s all good.  “Custody is always negotiable.  Britney would like to be with her kids more.”

With the divorce finalized, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief for the moment, before beginning the custody battle.  Wasser told press, “Today we’ve just finalized the status quo. This judgment gets them divorced. I’m relieved this is over.”

Wasser requested and was granted a sealing of the custody documents, which disallows the public from knowing where the Federline boys will be at any given time.

Tameka Foster finally broke her silence with the media regarding her canceled wedding plans to R&B superstar Usher. The wedding was suppose to take place last Saturday, but just hours before the ceremony the 100 wedding guests were informed that it had been called off.

And after carefully reviewing her recent statement to the press, it seems apparent that Tameka never truly explained what happened and appeared to intentionally leave us guessing about future wedding plans.

At the time of the wedding cancellation, the guests were left in the dark about why the sudden change. The only public comment was made by a publicist for the R&B singer, Patti Webster, who stated, “It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.” Inside sources are now saying that the real reason for the delayed wedding was tension within the Usher family, including disagreements about wedding details between the bride and groom-to-be. Jonetta Patton, Usher’s mother and former manager, apparently doesn’t approve of the marriage between her son and Tameka, and chose to express her feelings clearly. Also, taking the opportunity to quash rumors that had been circling about recently checking into a hospital for a pre-term labor, Tameka denied the gossip while explaining, “We had a scare. But, I am fine and the baby is fine.”

With all the drama surrounding her wedding photo blackmailers, Katie Holmes has taken to every girl’s favorite method of coping: shopping.

But being the wife of uber-celebrity Tom Cruise has afforded Katie the privilege of shopping wherever she pleases.  And for a shopping trip of this magnitude, she chose the beautiful German city of Berlin.

And her oversized black sunglasses weren’t enough to hide her famous face from the paparazzi.  She looked relaxed in a white jacket and black ensemble. 

As Brangelina have found Berlin to be a refreshing getaway from the American media circus, so too, has Katie found this charming city to be just what the doctor ordered.

Love is in the air for Uma Thurman.  The 37-year-old actress broke up with Andre Balazs back in March, but it looks like she’s giving love another chance with Elle MacPherson’s ex, Arpad Busson.

Busson ended his relationship with Elle back in 2005 after ten years together and two children.  He is reportedly worth over $500 million.

Though he’s bitten the heads off of bats, and earned the nickname “the prince of darkness,” Ozzy Osbourne showed this past weekend that even he needs the occasional trip to the hospital.

The Black Sabbath singer was taken to a Denver hospital this past Saturday night.  He was touring at the time, and needed to have “a minor outpatient procedure.”

While Lindsay Lohan struggles to get her act together, her father Michael has made an effort to restore civility with her mother Dina.  Where there was once malice, he hopes to create peace.

Apparently, in the ugly legal battle between Michael and Dina Lohan, Michael made some serious allegations against LiLo’s mom.  He previously said that the alcohol and drug abuse problems of Dina were contributing factors to Lindsay’s downfall.

He even requested that Dina be tested for drugs.  But Friday, when the Lohans went to family court, he withdrew the request in hopes that it would improve his chances of having a relationship with his former family.

But Dina wasn’t the least bit impressed with Michael’s peace offering, telling press, “There never should have been an order.” You could cut the tension in this family with a knife.

There’s nothing like a snowy country setting to really capture the romance and majesty of a wedding ceremony. At least, that’s how Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelly see it. The famous pair will exchange vows just two days before Christmas this year. And they’ll do it out in Utah on Katherine’s secluded ranch. There aren’t many details available about the big day, other than the date and the fact that it will take place on Heigl’s property. But as the day approaches, surely more specifics will become available. The two met when Josh hired Katherine to play the object of his affection in the video for his single “Only You.” And through tour bus groupie stories and Grey’s Anatomy drama, this couple has passed the test of time and pressure. If you were a huge fan of The Simple Life, you may want to grab a tissue.  It seems that the days of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie making fun of common folk are over.

The E! network announced yesterday that The Simple Life had met it’s death.  A rep for the network told press, “‘Simple Life’ has been a wonderful addition to the E! schedule for two years and we will always be grateful to Paris and Nicole for the hard work and graciousness.”

Speculation is rampant as to the reason for the show’s cancellation.  But the consensus seems to be that the girls were getting enough face time on American televisions with their legal woes. An insider leaked to press, “We felt like the real-life drama of their lives overshadowed anything happening on the show.  Viewers would see Paris all day long on the news about her going to jail, so they didn’t care about seeing her camping with kids. It just was too played out.”

There’s still talk that the show, which is owned by FOX, will be shopped to other networks, or possibly undergo changes to continue with new main characters.  But nothing is conclusive.  A FOX rep said, “No decision about the future of the franchise has been made as of yet.”

With the frenzied fans that attend concerts these days, maybe male singers should wear an athletic cup to avoid what Tim McGraw experienced recently during a Soul2Soul show date.

This past Saturday in Lafayette, La., Tim was walking down to meet fans in the front row of the audience when an enthusiastic female got a handful of his crotch.  This did not sit well with wife Faith Hill.

Faith laid into the woman saying, “Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend.  You don’t go grabbin’ somebody else’s, somebody’s husband’s (private parts), you understand me? That’s very disrespectful.”

And now it seems that everyone just wants to let it go.  A rep for Hill told press, simply, “Faith dealt with the situation on the spot and said all that needed to be said from the stage.”

When you reach a certain level of stardom, it’s time to move to another country and just enjoy the seclusion.  But reports that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are headed to Berlin to get away from it all are apparently not true.

Brad Pitt’s rep told press earlier this week that the British tabloid reports regarding Brangelina’s move to Berlin were “not true.” Although, according to The Mirror, it’s possible that they will be spending plenty of time there, given that they’ve purchased a house in the German city.

According to one source, Brad told a friend, “I want Angelina to settle down somewhere out of the limelight. She’s lost a lot of weight recently, and our plans are strictly to do with our move to Berlin.”

And Pitt reportedly named Berlin as a place that they could all get away from the pressures of their celebrity.  “Berlin is so quiet and balanced, away from paparazzi,” he told a pal.

Only time will tell whether or not Brangelina and their four kids decide to make a European move.  But time off to spend with family is definitely on the schedule.  In June, Jolie told press, “I think both of us only plan to work for a few more years. We’ll try to just stop sooner or later, so we can be home and travel, and just live.”

Last night under the glittering lights of Los Angeles, a bevy of beautiful stars were in attendance for the premiere of Stardust, which opens across the country on August 10th. And in a town that prides itself on being at the cutting edge of beauty and youth, this movie highlighted the success that aging stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer have been able to achieve while bucking the trend.

The Dangerous Minds actress’ role encompasses an old witch preying on the youth to steal their inner power, with co-star Claire Danes playing the perfect foil. Transforming Pfeiffer from star to hag was a four hour process that included wigs, cosmetics, prosthetics, and fake liver spots.

At the film’s premiere, the female cast members certainly stole the show with their sleek designer dresses and added glitz, but it would be foolish to ignore the masculine draw of several attendees.

Robert De Niro, always a crowd favorite, plays the role of a gay pirate in the movie and was in attendance, accompanied by his wife Grace. Another significant other in the crowd was David E. Kelly, producer of the hit TV show Boston Legal and husband to Pfeiffer.

When Pfeiffer was asked about her views concerning the current trend of casting “beautiful youths” in Hollywood and how older celebrities are reacting, she was extremely blunt and articulate.

“It’s affecting a lot of people these days,” Pfeiffer said with a sigh. “Even men are falling prey to it a lot more than they used to. But it’s the worst on women. A lot of times women are put out to pasture right when they’re hitting their stride.”

With a string of successes behind her that make most big screen stars salivate, we look forward to her ongoing success and hope that Stardust continues the tradition of excellence that Ms Pfeiffer has achieved.

Combine an amazing vocal performance with a night of pure energy and you get a “Sweet Escape” with Gwen Stefani. Gwen dazzled fans during a concert last night at the Acer Arena in Sydney, where she was met with the roaring approval of the packed house.

With an impressive list of hit songs to back her up, Stefani was able to keep the crowd movin’ as she grabbed their breath and never let go. By choosing crowd favorites, Stefani kept the momentum going as she performed several songs including: What You Waitin’ For, 4 in the Morning, Rich Girl, and Wind it Up.

During one part of the show, Gwen even got down and dirty with the audience, as she stepped off the stage and performed amongst her fans. And while all performers hope to have a great show, last night’s concert created two of those picture perfect moments for Gwen.

The first took place during the playing of Holla Back Girl, when the entire stadium hollered right back, singing the entire song. However, for Gwen, the icing on the cake was being able to take the time in front of her fans and dedicate “The Real Thing” to her 14 month old son Kingston; combining a mothers loving tribute to her son with a performers need to share herself with the fans that watched and supported her as she grew into the super star that she is today.

With another concert scheduled tonight at the Acer Arena and several more at other venues in the near future, the Gossip Girls will let you know if Gwen is able to top last nights special performance.

With the constant stream of stories about celebrities that are unable to make long distance relationships work, the Gossip Girls are tipping their hat to Jude Law for his recent ventures to the US in order to be closer to his new girlfriend, Cameron Diaz.

Cameron, who recently ended a long term relationship with pop star Justin Timberlake and was then linked to magician Criss Angel and noted environmentalist David Rothschild, has expressed concerns about jumping into another “serious relationship”.  However, Cameron’s concerns don’t appear to be having any cooling effect on Law’s approach to their relationship, as his recent Trans-Atlantic hop indicates.

While Diaz is apparently trying to keep the relationship fairly low key, it must be confusing for Law to know which direction to follow, seeing that Cameron announced to the world, “Jude is charismatic, fun, open and charming. It is very easy to fall in love with him.” So Law must be asking himself the question, are we just friends or something else?

With friends and family from each side saying this is just a normal friendship, it appears Law is stepping up the charm by “taking Cameron on a series of romantic dates this week.” Best of luck to the new couple and stayed tuned, as the Gossip Girls promise to keep you up to speed with all the juicy details surrounding the new Cameron and Jude “friendship”.

It must have been like a slow motion video as fading rap star Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs watched his star fall when he was refused entrance at an exclusive club, Les Caves on the French Riviera. What makes this insult even more close to home for Combs is that he once “ruled the roost” at the Riviera back during his superstar days.

However, it appears as if Diddy’s fan base has shrunk, as insiders gleefully pointed out that, “He is so B-List here. No one even acknowledges him.” Going a step forward in casting the ultimate celebrity putdown, one insider claimed, “Nobody even recognized him at the St. Tropez hotspot”. 

This is a stark comparison to Combs’ first experience with the Riveria, when he arrived at the resort with a full-time personal entourage back in 2003. At the time, he was often spotted partying with other celebrities, including Uma Thruman , and indulging in bottles of Cristal champagne with the ladies. 

Not content with just watching Diddy receive the cold shoulder at Les Caves, several insiders went out of their way to question why Combs was in the Riviera at all. “Nobody goes out there until the first and second week of August. Maybe he’s afraid he’ll get lost in the crowd once all the real celebs show up.”
