In light of the prolonged media lambasting of her character, Britney Spears appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show today to promote her new album and set the record straight.

The “Gimme More” singer talked about her frustration with public perception, and constant scrutiny. “People say what they want and do what they do. Its sad how people ... how cruel our world can be. But at the end of the day you gotta to know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can.”

Jennifer Garner had her hands full, as she took nearly two-year-old daughter Violet Affleck for a day of Halloween fun in New York City on Wednesday (October 31).

What have I let myself in for?’ I could feel it in my dreams, having a hard time sleeping, my jaw locking up—tension, physical strain. I couldn’t avoid those feelings, even if I wanted to leave this character on the set.”
