I haven’t kept up on the Britney Spears drama because I think it’s gotten to this level where it’s completely out of control. I just couldn’t keep writing about all her drama because–as good as it would be for the site–I just got so tired of it.  It seemed like all her drama kept growing and nothing good was coming out of it so I took a couple months off. But now I’m writing about her because I’m hoping that this story is actually going to be the story that starts her comeback in getting healthy and doing the right things. So here’s what happened: Britney’s family has been with her the last couple of days, supposedly trying to have an intervention for her and help her. The intervention was not going so well but this morning, early, Britney was taken by ambulance to UCLA medical center. According to PEOPLE:

“She went willingly. It was like something in her heart was telling her she should go. She knew something was wrong,” confidant Sam Lutfi tells PEOPLE.

While its good to know that she is going to try and work out her mental problems, its not so good to know that someone else is still sort of mooching off of her and controlling her. I think Britney has problems letting men control her every move. Her parents are hip to that need and they are trying to get some rights over their daughter, in efforts to save her from self-destruction. TMZ reports:

We’re told Britney’s mother, father and brother have been “working closely with the LAPD for weeks” to get her back in for psychiatric care. There is now a dogfight between Britney’s family and Sam Lutfi over who will make medical decisions, however, that fight is now put on hold because the judge now makes the call.

I definitely think Britney should be controlling her own actions, but its clear that she cannot do that due to mental problems. So the question is; who should be the next person in line to make medical and mental decisions for her? I normally am not one for people stepping into celebrities lives and cleaning up their messes for them, but I do think there comes a time in some people’s lives where they need help because they just can’t do it on their own. This, I think, is one of those times for Britney. I hope her parents get some control over her so they can help her. But.. will she let them help her? I guess only time will tell.

So this is the new Got Milk? ad and I’ve got to say I kind of like it. I think it looks somewhat normal as far as celebrity endorsements go. I mean, she doesn’t look overly photoshopped and her huge, out of proportion forehead is pretty well hidden. I could live without the Jackie Joyner Kersee nails but other than that, I’m liking this ad. Heck, I’m not even a huge Rihanna fan and I think she looks pretty good here.  I really like that black dress she’s wearing, too. Speaking of Rihanna, I really like her new song “Please Don’t Stop the Music” and its a great work out song. If you haven’t heard it, I suggest previewing it on iTunes. It’s good stuff. Rihanna power!

Heath Ledger’s sudden death has been especially tough on his good friend – and Brokeback Mountain costar – Jake Gyllenhaal.

The actor, who is godfather to Ledger’s two-year-old daughter Matilda, has been devastated by last week’s news. Says one Gyllenhaal friend, “Jake is taking this harder than most people.”

Nowhere is that more apparent than on the New Mexico set of Gyllenhaal’s latest movie, Brothers.

“This has had a strong personal effect on [Jake],” says a set source. The insider adds that Gyllenhaal left the set immediately after learning of Ledger’s Jan. 22 death – but he flew back on a commercial flight to shoot an additional scene on Thursday.

“He was there, but he wasn’t with us. It was obviously a major trauma,” says the movie source. “These guys were very close. [Jake] was sitting in the director’s chair staring off into space.”

Gyllenhaal has been off since shooting that scene, and was photographed Saturday looking subdued with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon in Los Angeles. Set sources say director Jim Sheridan is shooting around the grieving actor during his personal leave.

The 27-year-old’s somber mood is a sharp contrast to the happier times on the set of Brothers. During one intense early prison scene, Gyllenhaal jokingly reached into his pocket and took out a picture of his Brokeback beau to stick on the prison wall. “Like those prisoners put [loved ones] on the wall, but Jake’s was Heath Ledger,” one set source recalls. “That was hilarious. It was a nice moment.”

The source adds, “When you think back on it now, it’s touching.”

I remember when I would use the word “perform” loosely to describe Paris Hilton singing on stage, but even this is a stretch. Here is Jenna Jameson popping out of a styrofoam cake in Las Vegas, putting on a birthday show for her boyfriend UFC fighter Tito Ortiz. This has been called a performance, but it looks like a train wreck–you don’t want to look but you can’t turn away. Seriously. Like, 5 years ago everyone would’ve been swarming around that cake to see Jenna pop out and do a sexy song and dance, but now that she’s just a worn out pile of tanning bed/porno skin with absolutely no good features left on her bony body, no one wants to look. In fact, I’m betting Tito jumped out of his seat when the cake opened up and Jenna came out. He was probably scared. I’m scared just looking at these pictures. Yesterday I wrote about how Miley Cyrus had some personal pictures of her leaked to the internet, and I also happened to mention that her real name is Destiny Hope. Remember that? Well, funny I should’ve mentioned that yesterday because today reports are out that Miley, who has gone by the name Miley since she was a young child, is changing her name officially to Miley Ray Cyrus. The middle name of Ray is to, of course, pay tribute to her Achy Breaky Heart singing father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Personally, I think Destiny Hope is a really hippie, teen-mom type of name so I think it’s smart that she legally changed it to Miley. Not that I think Miley is a great name, but its better than Destiny Hope. I went to high school with a girl named Destiny and she smoked Camel unfiltered ciggies and penciled in her eyebrows. She was rough. That’s what I associate the name Destiny with. Roughness. So, good for Miley on getting that taken care.

Singer Gwen Stefani has confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with her second child with rocker husband Gavin Rossdale. The couple have one son, Kingston, who is 1 year old and turns 2 in May. While Gwen has yet to comment, Gavin’s father told PEOPLE that he, and the rest of the family, are very happy.

“They and the whole family are delighted,” Douglas Rossdale tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Congratulations to them. But on a side note…

I read on one of those “blind items” one time that Gwen Stefani had a major eating disorder–sometimes she doesn’t eat at all and then other times she is bulimic. The person who wrote the site hinted that it was her, and even though it wasn’t for sure that it was, I’ve always looked at her differently since then.

Let’s hope she stays healthy while she is pregnant. Congratulations to them again. Kingston’s going to have a little sister or brother!

A couple of weeks ago, OK! Magazine ran a story about Dallas Cowboys’ Tony Romo dumping Jessica Simpson because she was “bad luck” and because fans “didn’t like her around.” The story also reports that Jessica’s younger sister, Ashlee, also wants nothing to do with her. Jessica is fighting back at the reportedly false story by suing the magazine, OK! Apparently, Jessica is sick and tired of being slandered and wants to set the magazine straight. TMZ reports:

Simpson’s lawyers have sent a letter to OK!’s Editor-in-Chief, Sarah Ivens, claiming OK!’s article is bogus, adding that Jess and Tony are still together and that Ashlee and Jessica remain close. The attorneys say the article reflects a “smear campaign” and has subjected Simpson to “public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace.” The lawyers want OK! to “immediately publish a prominent and unambiguous” retraction.

Part of me says good for Jessica for trying to set the record straight but another part of me thinks she’s being silly–when you’re famous people write things that are untrue–deal with it. Maybe she’s really scared that Tony Romo will dump her because she is bad luck and the story was just a little too close to her fears? I don’t know but… it could be! And as far as Ashlee Simpson wanting to not hang out with her sister anymore? Well, I guess I could see how that could piss the Simpson’s off. Unless… that’s true, too? You never know!

Uh-0h, Billy Ray Cyrus isn’t going to be pleased with this! 16-year-old Hannah Montana alter ego Miley Cyrus (real name Destiny Hope Cyrus) has taken some semi-risky pictures of herself, possibly with a camera cell-phone or crappy digital camera, and they’ve somehow been leaked to the media. Luckily, none of the pictures are all that bad. In most of them, she’s just taking a camera shot of her body and making this face that, in her mind, is sexy or something. I’ve gotta say, I don’t think these pictures are bad at all, and I think we could’ve (and have) seen a lot worse, considering she’s really just a child still. She could’ve pulled a Vanessa Hudgens but she didn’t, so I think we should go easy on her. Young girls can still look up to her, she hasn’t done anything too rotten yet. And hey, if I had rock hard abs like her, I’d probably be taking “bikini upshots” of myself too. She won’t look like that forever so why not remember it? Anyway, the picture receiving the most attention is the bathtub picture, but even then I’m not sure how bad it is. They are all wearing swimsuits so what’s the harm? Eddie Murphy – who’s been laying low since announcing his shocking split from Tracey Edmonds – emerged in Las Vegas Saturday night for the grand opening of the Bellagio’s new nightclub, The Bank.

The actor – going monochromatic in dark blue pants, turtleneck, overcoat and a Kangol hat – hit the club just before 1 a.m. with a group of 30 people.

During his one-hour stay, Murphy – wearing sunglasses inside – sipped Evian water at a VIP table, dancing only occasionally. The actor seemed to pay particular attention to one woman in his entourage, at one point rubbing her leg and holding her hand in the air during a rousing song.

Rumors are going around that Beyonce will be playing iconic singer Etta James in a movie that’s going to be called Cadillac Records. The film will apparently be about Chess Records, and the stars that the label discovered. Adrien Brody will also be in the film, playing the role of Leonard Chess, the record label owner. Other celebrities in the movie include Jeffrey Wright, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Tammy Blanchard.

Am I the only one who thinks this movie sounds like a cross between Mariah Carey’s Glitter and Beyonce’s previous flop, Dreamgirls? It so does. Didn’t Beyonce learn from Dreamgirls? Not only was she a bad actress but no one liked her trying to steal Jennifer Hudson’s thunder. I’m anxious to see how this movie pans out, and if another actress comes out of nowhere and ends up out-performing Beyonce. It’s going to be great.

Services for Heath Ledger will remain private, a rep for the late actor said in a statement Friday.

Various reports have said Ledger would be buried in his hometown of Perth, Australia, but no official plans have been announced.

“At this time, we will not be releasing any information,” the rep says. “There are no plans for a public service.”

Ledger, 28, was found dead in his SoHo apartment Tuesday and his family is set to arrive in Manhattan Friday for his funeral.

Star Magazine is reporting that Angelina Jolie is pregnant with twins. I’m guessing that this is probably not true, but if it is, how many kids is she going to have? I mean, if she’s really pregnant with twins, that will bring her child count up to 6 kids. That’s a lot of kids for two people who have really busy schedules. I wonder if she and Brad have a bunch of nannies like other celebrities do? If thats the case I say they chill out on having an army of kids. Otherwise, they’ve got the money for it so why not?

So, here’s someone in a bikini on the cover of V Magazine with Demi Moore’s head pasted on the picture. Seriously. That must be how they did it because, without gobs of plastic surgery, it is not normal for an older lady to look like this in a bikini. Either it’s not her body or it’s her body with hours upon hours of Photoshop. Now that I think of it, it’s probably the latter of the two. Doesn’t she know that we’re not fooled by it? Interesting. Star Magazine is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears has changed her mind about raising her own baby. THe magazine claims that as soon as the child is born she will give it up to her mother, Lynne, who will adopt the child and raise it so that Jamie Lynn can focus on her career. The magazine also makes it seem like this was more of Lynne’s decision than Jamie Lynn’s. I believe that! Lynne needs to make money off of at least one of her kids or else what will she do? She’d have to get a real job and we all know that’s not happening! Here’s what the magazine says about the situation:

“After several weeks of personal soul searching and talks and discussions with her mum Jamie Lynn reluctantly agreed that giving up the baby is the right thing to do. Lynne says Jamie doesn’t understand the life long consequences of having a baby. She still wants her daughter to be able to be a teenager, go to parties, hang out with friends and have a career. So she’ll take the front seat of caring for the baby and take the pressure off her daughter.”

“Lynne is convinced that having a baby on her hip will not help Jamie Lynn’s future in the business and she’s expecting her daughter to pick up where she left off as soon as the baby is born.”

I don’t know about you but this whole story is sounding unbelievably selfish to me. These people think they can just hand a baby off and poof! No responsibility or feeling is left. I seriously think that if Jamie Lynn is going to carry the baby and give birth to it, then she should keep it and raise it. She should show Britney how to step up to life’s responsibilities! And Lynne Spears, I hate to say it, seems like she’s not that great of a mother. I mean, who says they will raise their daughter’s baby so she can “party” and “work”? Not cool. Very not cool.
